Service . Recovery

Subzero Cryotherapy in Lindale and Tyler.

Whole body cryotherapy for recovery, inflammation, and post workout soreness. Three minutes in a chamber that reaches far below freezing. Paired with the rest of your plan of care, not sold as a cure.

Cold, done right.

A nitrogen cooled chamber drops skin temperature fast. Three minutes at subzero temperatures triggers a systemic recovery response. Used by pro athletes for decades, now available in East Texas without driving to Dallas.

We use cryotherapy as a recovery tool inside a plan of care. Post hard training session, post surgical recovery phase, or during a pain flare. One session never fixes anything. A series can meaningfully speed recovery.

Cryotherapy helps with.

Sixty dollars, and here is the honest pitch.

How much $60 a session

This is not billed as physical therapy and it does not treat a tear. Cryotherapy is a recovery add on, sold one session at a time and not included in any membership.

Cryotherapy is the service on this site with the weakest evidence base, and we would rather say that than sell around it. The research supports it for what people actually report: reduced soreness after hard training, a short window of reduced pain perception, and feeling better afterwards. The research does not support it as a treatment for an injury, a replacement for rehabilitation, or a metabolic intervention. Anyone selling it as those things is ahead of the data.

What that means practically: if you are training hard and recovery between sessions is your limiter, three minutes and sixty dollars is a reasonable trade and you will probably like it. If you have a painful shoulder that has not improved in six weeks, the chamber is not the answer and we will tell you so at the desk rather than after you have bought a package. That is why cryotherapy is not sold as a course here. It is a single session at a time, and the full cash rate table is published.

Who should not use the chamber

Whole body cryotherapy is not appropriate during pregnancy, with uncontrolled high blood pressure, with a history of deep vein thrombosis or recent stroke or heart attack, with cold urticaria or Raynaud's, with a pacemaker, or with unmanaged peripheral neuropathy where you cannot reliably feel cold injury. Anyone under 18 needs a guardian present. We screen for all of it before your first session, which takes about ninety seconds and occasionally ends with us declining to run the session. That is the screen working.

One more thing worth knowing: cold immediately after resistance training may blunt some of the strength and muscle adaptations you just trained for. If you are in a building phase, put the chamber on rest days or well after the session rather than straight off the last set. If you are in a competition week and recovering between events, that trade stops mattering and the chamber earns its place.

How much does cryotherapy cost at Physio+?

Sixty dollars a session. It is sold one session at a time rather than as a package, it is not billed as physical therapy, and it is not included in any membership.

Does cryotherapy treat an injury?

No. The evidence supports reduced soreness after hard training and a short window of reduced pain. It does not support cryotherapy as a treatment for an injury or as a replacement for rehabilitation. If you have a problem that has not improved in six weeks, book an evaluation instead.
