Sports Chiropractic

Our team of Doctors of Physical Therapy incorporate osteopractic care to their treatment and training of athletes in order to reduce pain and prime the neuromuscular system for physical activity. Research has shown that combining adjustments and spinal manipulation with proper exercise is significantly more effective in improving performance than adjustments or exercise alone. We combine both to allow for peak rehab and performance!

Adjustments/Spinal Manipulation

Adjustments of the Spine can provide significant performance advantages to an athlete. It restores mobility of stiff spinal segments, inhibits the pain pathways of the nervous system, and resets the nervous system to allow for improved muscle activation. It is a great tool to help athletes improve muscle activation and coordination and provides input to the nervous system to allow for better movement of athletes. A quick 5 minute series of adjustments prior to a workout or event will allow for optimal muscle performance.

Muscle Energy Technique

Muscle Energy Technique (MET) is the use of your own muscles to correct joint tightness or joint alignment issues. It is commonly used for various joints such as the pelvis or hips to correct pelvic shifts or leg length discrepancy. This allows athletes to be independent in correcting their “alignment”.
